All,

I'm trying to investigate an issue with occasional corruption of emails.

Its on one of our older systems (Solaris/Oracle, ARS 7.5p004), we have an
application that generates some fairly large HTML formatted mails (can be
over 1mb). Occasionally, but not reliably so, emails are having some of
the HTML header information stripped out, so they become unreadable by the
recipient.

In these cases, I have amended/resubmitted the email to myself and they've
(normally) come through without any of this corruption.

I've looked through the 7.5 email engine release notes, none of the later
patches make a mention of any email corruption. At least the email engine
"patch" is a simple file replace if required.

So while we are waiting for our mail/SMTP relay support people to respond,
any thoughts?

Regards

Dave Barber
