As with all patches, it is recommended that both the server and Mid-Tier are patched to the same level. However, were you to choose not to do that, what I can say is that the patched library exists in the Mid-Tier portion of the patch. As with all situations, you should try it in your lab to determine if there are any negative effects in your environment based on your decisions. Please read the readme files for each portion of the patch for details on which fixes are within which portions of the patch. Thanks, -David J.
