BMC informed me of a port parameter in the authentication line of the RKM config file.
Add a parameter to this line like: port="<port_number>" Where <port_number> is the number configured for the MidTier to ARS link. Of course, this parameter isn't mentioned in the Installation or Planning/Configuration guides. All is well now. Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: Remedy Knowledge Management 7.1 authentication fails in DMZ I would think that you would need to set a specific RPC and TCP port on the RKM server, and open those ports for that host through the firewall. Haven't yet played with this yet, so I couldn't tell you if RKM pays attention to the ARTCPPORT and ARRPC, but I would think it would. *grin* You'd need to configure your ARS server with a private rpc socket and define the tcp socket if not already done. Having RKM on it's on RPC socket isn't a bad idea, even without the network locked down. hth, tony -- Tony Worthington [EMAIL PROTECTED] 262-703-5911 "Watson, Benjamin A." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 02/01/2007 10:10:26 AM: > Hello List, > > This message is aimed at anyone currently using Remedy Knowledge > Management (RKM) à Tony, Chris???. > > We?ve recently moved our baseline (e.g. operational) Webserver to > the DMZ.
