Hello, I received the same ARERR 402 error when installing on AIX with
Oracle 10.2. The error is coming up when the Remedy service is started
(actually Stage 5 of the install), but I am only getting one bad definiton
file

AR System Server did not start in the allocated time.
Do you want to continue waiting for the AR System Server to start [y]

The AR Service will not start so there is no way to get in an correct the
issue. Also this is during the install, is there a bug with the Oracle
10.2.0 and Remedy 7.0.2?

Thanks,

Rob

It looks like each of the filters has a bad action and that is causing
the count of actions to be off. When you imported did you mark the
"Replace Options on the Destination Server" option?

You have 7 bad action value, 7 Incorrect format in the definition file,
and 7 numactions errors. I think each of the 7 filters has a bad action
and that causes the numaction error.

If necessary you might have to do the following ( *** LAST RESORT *** )

  1. Find the FilterID for each of the 7 filters.
  2. In each of the FILTER_% tables delete the records for those
FilterID(s)
  3. Re-Import the 7 filters

Hope this helps some.

Fred
