Cheers Carey, Sounds like a logical approach. Hopefully the guys in Engineering will come up with something along these lines that makes it a little smoother in the long run. I was fortunate enough to only experience this in my Dev environment which had far less resources than the big Prod Server, hence me being able to feel the impact of this and identify where it came from. I heard hints from some sources that this type of thing is currently being reviewed specifically for future AR System releases. Watch this space. Chris.

When the config is "added" the system should verify that now is a good time to do this.. if not... get a date/time when it would be ok to do it. (then stuff a record somewhere and have an escalation come back to actually build the "hard" stuff when the server can afford the performance hit.) [ A change(patch) to the application should be a lot easier than changing how the server does it's caching. :] -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap....
