That's funny. I requested that enhancement becuase we wanted the char field menu that emulates a drop-down to actually act like a drop-down. We had issues where a field need to be cleared, but the only native option, prior to this enhancement, was to select a menu item, pres ESC, Press CTRL+X; which was not acceptable to our users.
