Weird thing that I just solved, and maybe someone could enlighten me on how the reserved field 1005 works. Here was the situation: On the home page we have applist, 4 table fields, AppSubset field (1576), and a Query Bar field (1005). The 4 table fields refresh every minute, and are set to "Retain Selection, Fire Workflow" on Refresh. Now, even though this was set, we have no workflow associated with "menu/row choice" for any table field on the home page. Now the issue we were having was when a user was on a different form (but still had the home page loaded) and the went to perform an advanced search, that when ever the table fields on the home page refreshed, the advanced search bar would clear its contents. To narrow the cause of why the advanced search bar was clearing, I did several modifications to the table fields trying out the different options. Long story short, I set the table fields to "Retain Selection, No workflow fired." on Refresh. After logging back in and a minute went past, the tables refreshed but the advanced search bar didn't clear! So then I went to remove the Query Bar field (1005) from the homepage and reset the Refresh to "Retain Selection, Fire Workflow". Again, after logging back in, the advanced search bar didn't clear when the refresh happened. So, I am lacking knowledge about two things happening here that I wasn't able to find in the docs. What happens when "xxx, Fire Workflow" is set on a table field, and the interaction with reserved field 1005 and the refresh process. More specific, when this field exists on a form, what causes the contents to be "pushed" to the Advanced Search bar. I still a green horn to Remedy. I'll be taking the Admin Part 3 coming up at the end of March in New York, but was wondering if someone on the list could explain how this field works and why does it affect when the table refresh with "xxx, Fire Workflow" is set on the table fields along with what happens during the Table refresh. I was pretty sure that the "Fire Workflow" meant that any active links associated with a "menu/row choice" execution would fire.. but now.. what else could be firing? Bob Halstead
