Dave,

I've read this document a couple of times. I seem to find it some what
confusing.

I seem to keep coming to the conclusion that OS (server and client) and Java
patches along with patching the Midtier seems to correct all but 4 or 5 defined
issues. Web services, export of application data, time displayed in the admin
tool, and if time zone locale is set using preference server.

I've tried just laying down the binaries and library files for Patch 20 on our
Solaris server. Didn't seem to work as one documented fix with email engine
still seemed to be there. Pulled down tar file of install scripts and it
wouldn't gunzip. Somewhere the file became corrupted. Tried twice before
contacting support which put to a directory I could ftp to from server. Server
install went fine but ran into a known issue with nfs mounted disks and email
engine install.

Not trying to make light of the issue. Just attempting to get a grasp on what
would be the issue if we don't apply the patch at this time.

What happens if you don't install the patch is documented in the
Technical Bulletin.

What happens if we don't install the patch? What if we just manually do
the change in time and watch the server on the day it was originally set
to make the change?

It seems as if there are far more problems that there should be with
this patch.
