I noticed this as well, unfortunately...

Bug? Feature? Or just simply an annoyance???

Subject: ITSM 7 site problem - multi-tennancy

Everyone,

I ran into an issue when creating sites for several companies.

Let's assume, that you have three companies with regions NSA, ECA and
MEA
and each region has some sites. There is only one site per city, so in
order to keep things easy you want to use just the city name as the site

name, however, each company has a different office location in each
city.

Let's say all three companies have offices in Houston, TX but at
different
addresses.

Company ABC -> NSA -> Houston
Company DEF -> NSA -> Houston
Company GHI -> NSA -> Houston

Problem: 'Site Name' has to be unique and Remedy ITSM won't let me
create
the site 'Houston' under companies DEF and GHI.

I can associate multiple companies to the site via the 'Company
Relationship' tab but as I said, the addresses for all three sites are
different, so that won't work.

Only workaround seems to be slightly different site names (i.e. Houston
ABC, Houston DEF, etc.) or some kind of combination of city_street_name
in
order to make them unique. Not a very good solution.

Has anyone else run into this issue ? Any suggestions ?

Sounds like a bug to me.

Rgds,

Chris Rom
