Is this in an email or a screen field? You have to remember that the
size of each character is different in the standard (proportional
spaced) fonts. It sounds like you are needing to use a fixed width font
like Courier New (where all characters are the same width).

Subject: Help regarding formating data in Character field

Hi list,

We are having a scenario in which in a field we need to align the data
in the below format:

Attribute Name1 : Attribute Value1
Attribute Name2 : Attribute Value2
Attribute Name3 : Attribute Value3
Attribute Name4 : Attribute Value4
Attribute Name5 : Attribute Value5

Inspite of using all the padding options that we are having in remedy
we are not able to align like the above required format.

We are getting the data in the below format:
Ex:

Item Description : Box for
Pickup
Box for Pickup : 11
Building : F
Floor and room number : 11

Actually in the above example the length of the data before ":" at all
the places is having the same length but the alignment is improper.

Kindly suggest a workaround.

Thanks and regards,
Bh.Ramakanth Varma
