Listers,
FYI - I was interested in constructing a bunch of HTML based E-mail templates that Remedy could send for notifications. Of which I used areatext boxes, buttons, and several other html features that would make it easier on the eyes. I also wanted to develop templates that would allow people to "reply" , click a button, and add text, and tickets get updated automatically. However, there is a bug with Microsoft Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 installed. Apparently, because Word 2003 is used as an HTML editor for Outlook, there is a security bug that Microsoft has when it tries to "reply or forward" an HTML based e-mail. Items such as "buttons, and areatext boxes" are stripped when you use Outlook to reply to a message. To get around this bug, you'll need to Open up Microsoft Outlook 2003, click Tools, go to the Mail Format Tab. Then under Message Format you'll see two check boxes. The Top one "Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages" MUST be disabled in order for this to work appropriately. If it is not disabled, you'll get this issue if you to use HTML. Just a friendly FYI to a very annoying bug.
