If you're on an earlier version, you can still do this AND do it in a supported way which won't get overwritten when you make subsequent changes (this is the risk you take when doing this via the Admin Tool). You'd need to use cmdbdriver (formerly known as osdriver in older versions). This is the Command Line Interface to the CMDB API. Within it, there are options to change (or create) an attribute to have a character menu. Sadly, the way you use this is not very well documented, but I can provide a sample script if anybody is interested. >From a Best Practice point of view, most of the Out of the box ITSM apps >attach a $\NULL$ Menu and then use Active Links to attach the real menus to the fields when the window opens. This gives you more flexibility to change the menu's in the future if necessary.
