I've been installing both User and Admin tool for years without uninstalling the old client, with no observable ill effects. Now we are in a situation where we don't dare uninstall the User tool.
It would be good to hear from BMC-Remedy why we are instructed to uninstall the old client. Maybe something bad is happening that I am not aware of.
