Thad,

Unfortunately, our spam filters blocked your definitions, so I don't know.
With regards to the permissions, I test everything as an Admin first so I
can focus on functionality, then go back and test with a test login that has
specific permissions.

I did setup workflow to use FieldID, then it worked- I went back and set the
FieldID to the "Database ID" of the table, and now its working as well- I'm
not sure if I had an error or....?

Thank you VERY MUCH for your help!

Hmm, that is odd. Does my test form work okay for you? I wonder if it is
just your one form, or if its something with the system? Have you looked at
permissions on all the fields involved?

Thad,

Sorry- yes, it is version 6.3

While I understand the goal, the issue is that when I use the Database ID
for the Table fields, the Change Field action doesn't fire. In other words,
I've tried setting the Current Table field 12345, $12345$, and "$12345$".

None of these seems to work properly- when I get to the point in my workflow
where the Refresh should occur, nothing happens and I get the following
message in my Logs:

<ACTL> -> Passed qualification -- perform if actions
<ACTL> 0: Set Characteristics
<ACTL> ***** No such field on schema
<ACTL> Refresh field

Maybe I'm not getting what you are asking. Attached is a def file with a
Display only form and 3 active links. Two of the active links set the
FieldID of the last table touched. The 3rd active link triggers on a button
to refresh the correct table. As you select the tables, note the field id
shows up in the char field. You can then right-click and clear the table to
validate the next step. Click the button and the table with the fieldid in
the char field will refresh.

I didn't see version info, this is 6.3.

Let me know how this works.

Thad,

Thank you! Unfortunately, this sets the Database ID number, which I have
tried and doesn't seem to work with the Advanced Change Field properties.

I appreciate the assistance!

**
Have you tired the $FIELDID$ keyword in your Set Fields?

Current Table = $FIELDID$

Advanced Change Fields

**
Greetings list!

I've got a few table fields on a form and would like to refresh the last one
touched when a menu option is selected. I'm trying to use the Advanced
properties of the Change Field Action so I only need 1 (I already have other
workflow that has to run anyway, so I added a Set Fields that sets the value
of "Current Table" as well).

It appears that my Set Fields that states what the current table is isn't
correct- I've tried the following

Current Table = "$Table Name$"
Current Table = "$Table ID$"
Current Table = "Table Name"
Current Table = "Table ID"
Current Table = $Table Name$

I can see that Current Table field is being set properly for each of the
above options that I tried. Unfortunately, when I review the workflow logs,
it appears that the System doesn't like any of these and states that "*****
No such field on schema"

No Run If
No Execute On
Menu/Row Choice is selected
My Advanced Change Field simply Reads:
Field Name: $Current Table$
Refresh Table Field is checked

Does anyone know why I'm having issues?

Thanks!
