Hi All

We have been having a curious problem with ITSM 7/ARS 7 since going live
in January. Our previous Remedy DB, under v6, used to be approx 4 Gb
(which was in use for 9 months), and since moving across to 7 our DB has
now hit over 40 Gb (even though there is really only 7 Gb of data in
it).

It seems that this is to all do with a combination of 'Store CLOB
In-Row', '0' length fields and the out of the box auditing.

We are running on a windows environment (2003r2) and oracle 10.2 (also
on windows).

If anyone is interested I can go into a lot more detail on the issue
(including the correspondence between us, our reseller, BMC and Oracle),
but what I am curious to find out if anyone else out there is having
this issue. I am aware of another site in Melbourne running the same
environment that is having the same issue.

Any thoughts, comments are welcome, and if you are having this issue
please let me know... especially if you have found a fix to get the DB
size back down to what it should be.

Thanks

Steve
