If I understand you correctly BMC did something similar with their integration of the Kbase tool.
Simply use a View field and one or more temp fields. Set one temp field to be the base URL that remains consistent and use another temp field to contain the extension items. When someone makes a menu selection (or whatever action will trigger the URL) you can use the second tmp field to build your url extension. Tmp1 = http://www.abc.com/ On menu selection set tmp2 = widgets (or other value) Set viewfield1 = tmp1 + tmp2 Is that what you're looking for? -Eli -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mayfield, Andy L. Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 3:42 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Dynamic URL's Is there a way to build a dynamic URL in ARS? What I would like to do is have a default value of something like "http://www.abc.com/" and then have values appended to the end of the URL based on field selections. When a user selects "Widgets" from the Item menu, the URL becomes "http://www.abc.com/widgets". Is this possible? Thanks, Andy L.
