Hello folks, when I import data into the CMDB, I have the problem that also unchanged vendor data overwrites/update my CMDB data which is senseless of course.
Can anybody give me some more details about the "Options" tab in the "CMDB Data Mappings"? I thought I just tick "yes" in the option "Update CDMB Data Only if Values Change". But for what I have to choose the "Check Digit Field"? I have entries there like "UsersAffected", "QuantityInStock" and other unknown field names. If I choose a ramdom field name or let the Digit Field empty I get an error message in the log that the attribute value is outside of the defined limit values. This option allows you to determine whether all mapped CMDB requests are updated when changes are detected in the vendor records during a data exchange, or whether updates are made to the individual requests that were modified in the vendor system since the last data exchange. If you select Yes, changes are only made to the individual records that were modified in the vendor system since the last data exchange, and the Check Digit field appears on the Options tab.
