There is a problem with the Java 1.5.0_11 Installer that doesn't set some registry keys properly....this does cause the problem with the mid-tier install and may be causing the other error but I've never experience that particular one. If you look back in the archives a month or two ago you should find the registry fix for the install problem and see if it fixes your Email engine install

That satisfied the installer (no error, at least), but I still can't process emails through ARS. I wonder if the Java version is the problem - anyone else using 1.5.0_11 without issues? The Mid-Tier installer doesn't recognize it as "valid", though it does seem to work fine with it once it's installed.
