Here's Axtons answer from a couple of months back:

Increase the max heap space tomcat java process can use by adding the
following on the command line that starts tomcat

-Xms1024m
-Xmx1024m

I guess Google can help you out as well:

I have just installed 7.02 and am running mid-tier on tomcat 5.1.8

Some of our applications encounter from tomcat:java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
Anybody else run into this? Do I just need to adjust the JAVA_OPTS values?
TIA
