What kind of error do you get? Remember to install your licenses on the server before installing CMDB. The CMDB installer logs will point in the right direction.
With regards to stability; I guess all platforms are stable and remedy is stable on all platforms. Therefore I would always recommend to choose the platform on which the people in your organization have the most skills.
