If you have set it to delete on sending you do not need to archive anything.. some sites for auditing purposes do not like deleting sent emails so its a better idea to archive sent mails to an archive form so that it leaves the email message forms mainly with unprocessed emails..

Many of us have that turned off so that we can search the form when someone says "I didn't get an email for that ticket."
