I provided a shortcut to the Help Desk form for some of my Remedy users.  

One of the users found out that one of the fields displayed different menu
values depending on whether it was accessed from the shortcut or directly
from Remedy (I can send you a print screen if you like).  

I have tried the following to resolve this problem:

        re-created the shortcut
        deleted cache files 
        investigated permissions
        investigated Remedy client version 
        investigated VUI issues

I am running 

        AR Server 6.3, patch 18
        Windows 2003, patch 2
        SQL Server 2000 patch 4

This is consistently happening to several users with various patches of 6.3
