Ray, Similar thing was happened with me. After doing change, see again in web service object-> GoTo WSDL-> click view and then see removed elements should not be therein WSDL. If you are seeing any old image of WSDL in that case cache should be removed properly.
Once you have done changes do not forget to flush mid-tier cache and your browser cache.
