Drew, It is possible to create a macro that does a modify action. Just record it in the user tool and examine the created macro with Wordpad or so. This is easier than creating an API script with Perl or .Net if you do not have programming or API experience.
Good luck, Michiel On 6/8/07, Drew Shuller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hello ars listers, I'm trying to run a macro from the command line that will find and update a record while running in the background. I'm wondering if this is possible. I have a macro that runs in the background and creates a record using a submit action. I have another macro that queries for a record and does a screen pop of a modify window, but what I really want to do is to query for a record and change a field and then do a save...without seeing anything on screen. Maybe a macro could call another macro???
