Might not be a supported way of playing the game but you could try dropping the database version using a stored procedure in SQL.. the database version for 2005 if I am not mistaken is 90.. drop it down to 80 or 70.. I do not recall the exact name of the stored procedure to do that but if you look up the MS-SQL forums you should be able to find it..
After installing use that same stored procedure and bring it to the current level.. check if that works for you.. Please make sure you take a db backup before attempting to use that stored procedure as it makes fundamental meta data changes to the database. I do not guarantee you this will work but you could try this trick and see if it works for you.. We have ARS 5.1.2 running in SQL Server 2005 and that seems to be the problem. When we try to run the installation we receive an error complaining about the sql version. We know that this mix is not supported but itÂ’s working for us. Is there a way to do this installation?
