but in spite of me thinking that the lsoft listserv searchability is
limited,

it still seems better than most. That is the one at www.arslist.org

Nabble and Google and others have mirrored copies of the archives,

and people can search where they wish, just I block posting from
non-authenticating external sources

as much as possible to keep our spam level to what it is., very low.

It's definitely very useful to find out if something has been asked about
previously or to find that post you know came past the list but you forgot
to save in your personal archives...
