Hi everyone:

This is driving me crazy. It appears the 6.3 Admin tool does some hokey
things to radio buttons if they've been resized. And on top of that,
the 6.3 Midtier does not appear to render resized radio buttons
properly. What am I talking about? Here's an example.

Suppose I have a radio button on a survey form that has normal text
label and then five radio button selections labeled 1 - 5. So in the
Admin tool it looks sort of like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience O 1 O 2 O 3 O 4
O 5

So far, so good. Now I click on it to select it. So the "grab tabs"
appear on the left and right sides of the radio button area to indicate
that that area can be resized, like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience []O 1 O 2 O 3 O 4
O 5 []

So pretend that those brackets are the "grab tabs." OK, all is well in
Remedy land...so far...

I click and drag the right grab tab and then click and grab the left
grab tab, effectively increasing the distance that the radio buttons
appear away from the field label. So it look something like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience []O
1 O 2 O 3 O 4 O 5 []

OK, still everything is fine...everything is as it has always been. But
now I say to myself, "Hmmm...I think the field is two points too low on
the form. Let me double click the field and reduce its Y coordinate by
two clicks."

Boom! The radio buttons snap back to where they were before I resized
the field, like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience []O 1 O 2 O 3 O 4
O 5 []

???!??!

So I say, "Well, OK, fine. Maybe that's just something squirrelly about
the new Admin tool. I'll just adjust the X and Y coordinates of all my
radio buttons and THEN resize them."

That seems to work. Except now when I view the radio button on the
Midtier, no dice. In the Admin tool it looks like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience []O
1 O 2 O 3 O 4 O 5 []

But on the Midtier it looks like this:

I was satisfied with my overall experience []O 1 O 2 O 3 O 4
O 5 []

This is extremely frustrating, as the app in question is a customer
satisfaction survey that consists of about ten radio buttons. I had
them all nicely aligned in 5.1.2, but upgrading to 6.3 messed them up.

Anyone seen this before?

Norm
