thanks a lot for all of your suggestions. It was something as stupid as the
fields not having Public permissions. I had moved the fields to the Prod server
and the permissions did not carry through.

I am sure you have but to be on the safer side have you
checked the AR System Email Error Logs form for any possible errors. Also try
using the logging.properties file that you can use for debugging the email
engine which is usually found in the Java lib directory. I am sure you have
checked the filter notify actions. I guess one of the last resorts would be to
upgrade the email engine to patch 3. Hope this helps
