I had a similar error running a Crystal Report using Crystal XI. 

I could run the report loading it into Crystal Reports then accessing 
Remedy via the ODBC connector.  If I logged into a Remedy server and tried 
to run the report using the Remedy reporting tool (against a Remedy 
Reporting server, I got a blank screen with no error messages or alerts. I 
logged directly into the Reporting server and tried to open a search 
window for the form and I found out that there was no active link for the 
form.  Once the active link was re-established (it was missing from this 
server) the report ran fine.
