Brilliant! Thanks guys. -----Original Message----- From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Carey Matthew Black Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2007 1:59 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Multiple values from tiered menus
Michael, In ARS, there is only one column of data returned when the user selects an item from the menu. As others have suggested, if the menu is a search menu and you choose to return the Entry ID (field 1) value from the selected menu item, then you can have active links do a set field action to get more values from the selected record and map the request ID value into a "better string" value for the field that the menu is attached to. If your menu is not a search menu... then..... change the value that the menu returns to contain all the data that you want returned. For example If the menu looks like Foo Bar -->(returns) Bar OtherFoo OtherBar --> Bar Then maybe the menu should instead be: Foo Bar --> Foo-Bar OtherFoo OtherBar -->OtherFoo-Bar HTH. -- Carey Matthew Black Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) ARS = Action Request System(Remedy) Love, then teach Solution = People + Process + Tools Fast, Accurate, Cheap....
