Job Description

Accountable for administration of Remedy Action Request System
applications. Responsibilities include end-user support, report
generation, account management, configuration, monitoring system logs,
and general maintenance. The ideal candidate for this position will have
some Remedy development experience, with a strong desire to advance into
a Remedy Developer position.

Required Skills

Requires an associates degree or equivalent and at least 1-2 years of
experience of prior related work experience. The candidate will have an
ability to provide positive customer service, with good communication
and problem solving skills. Technical proficiency in relevant operating
systems, applications and programming languages is required (BMC Remedy
Action Request System, Mid-Tier, and ITSM Suite [Help Desk, Asset,
Change, SLA]; Microsoft Windows; Microsoft Office). An active or recent
secret security clearance, or eligibility for one, is required.

Required Experience

Previous experience working in a information technology support
environment is required.

Job Description

This position is accountable for development, administration,
customization and integration of BMC Remedy Action Request System
solutions, with a strong focus on the out-of-the box I.T. Service
Management (ITSM) suite (Help Desk, Change Management, and Asset
Management). Responsibilities include gathering customer requirements,
preparing design specifications, authoring documentation, application
development, ongoing technical support and system maintenance.

Required Skills

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 4 - 6
years of relevant experience. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts,
practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment
to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude
is expected. Works under general supervision. Technical proficiency in
advanced BMC Remedy and related technologies is desired (Remedy Help
Desk, Asset Management, Change Management, CMDB, SLA, Flashboards,
Approval Engine, Web Services and API programming; SQL Server; Oracle,
Unix; Java; C++, etc). An active or recent secret security clearance, or
the ability to hold one, is required.

Required Experience

Previous experience in a technical support environment is desired.
Technical writing experience is a plus. Remedy Approved Consultant (RAC)
certification, Remedy Skilled Professional (RSP) certification or other
advanced Remedy training classes are also desired.

 

Ideally someone that would consider CTH (Contract-to-Hire) would be
great. - If you will do CTH salary would be around 95k - some
flexibility.
