Double check inside Crystal the join criteria for the SubReport (Right
click on the subreport in the designer and it may be called something
like Subreport Links)

It sounds like you have a Parameter field defined that is not getting
it's data from the main report

And it may be of interest, but that parameter box appears even when
you're running the report in Crystal itself.

I've searched for some kind of option flag in Crystal. That was
my thought too. But NO that would be too easy !!

Seriously, I try not to solve HR problems with software
whenever I can avoid it - the problem will just manifest itself
elsewhere.

More seriously, I bet there's a flag on the report
definition (that may only be visible from CR) that controls that,
similar to the one that specifies whether the date range fields are to
be displayed.

                        Hi everyone,

Since we upgraded to ARS v701P2, we've also had
to upgrade some of our reports from Crystal v9 to v11. Many still run
just fine with v9, but it seems those with subreports in particular
needed to be re saved etc. That's not the problem.

What I am having an issue with is that if there
is a subreport when you click on the active link button to run the
report, it now pops up a Crystal report 'parameter' window which is
asking for the subreport link field value. So we've been putting in the
Task ID or whatever that particular report calls for and the report
displays as expected.

We have a packing list report where this really
plays out poorly. If you put the wrong Task ID in that parameter field,
the wrong Task ID prints on the packing list, even though all the rest
of the information is correct. If shipping doesn't notice when they
pull the UPS label (which triggers off that Task ID), they get the
shipping information from the wrong Task.

Yes, true, the originator of the packing list
COULD look at the info before they print it in shipping, but alas, we
require the system to do everything for us. They optimally would like
to just stare at the screen and have their work completed !

Anyone have any ideas on how I can eliminate
that parameter box which appears needing to be filled in.

                        I appreciate your input. Thanks,

                        Susan
