I encountered this problem too. It seems to originate from the Sync
Search DB functionality.

BMC Support says to delete the object* forms (and not set up the sync
search db). That fixed my problems without reinstalling.

I haven't tried to see if the "fixed" P004 allows it to run successfully
again...I'll try it, though.

Mary,

The only other thing of note so far was a change in behavior in the User
Tool... I'm not sure which is correct, the new or the old... however, it
had been working consistently up until patch002, but not since ('broken'
in patches 003 and 004).

In any case, it is no longer possible to use a read-only enum column in
a table-field in the run-if of an active link... it's possible that this
is only when in a table loop guide. Our solution was to set a R/O enum
field on the form rather than the column, and that worked.

Other than that, we're still testing it all out.

Good luck!

Matt R.

Thank you Matt. It did indeed fix the issue. Any other issues have you
encountered? We also applied CMDB 2.0.1 P 3 and SLM 7.0.3 on our dev.

Mary,

Try reinstalling the arserver with the one that was published on 8/30
(last Thursday). We went through the same experience in our development
environment. Installing the "latest" AR Server 7.0.1 Patch004 resolved
it.

Good luck,

Matt R.

Hi,

We installed ARS 7.0.1 P 4 on our dev env yesterday. The installation
went well w/o errors. HOWEVER, we found a big issue, the Admin tool (P
4) crashes everytime we open the field properties on any form, any
field. Submitted a service request with BMC support today and have not
heard anything back yet.

Any one else experienced the same issue?

Thanks,

~Mary
