Hi Andy

I wasn't offended by the image myself, but did think it inappropriate to post
to a global list, I know the argument about you don't have to open the link,
but the mail did not contain a description of what the image looked like. I
can understand why some listers may find it distasteful, the depiction can be
taken as the US using military might to crush the rest of the world underfoot,
admittedly those being crushed weren't the people you would normally invite
round for the family bbq, but it is the implied nature of the image that would
probably put someones nose out of joint.

It has to be remembered that this is a global list and what is one person's art
treasure is another's symbol of mistrust.

Cheers

Rob

I guess I am in the minority, but I thought it was a really cool picture.

For those concerned about the irony of the Statue of Liberty toting a machine
gun, remember this: Without the means to back it up, everything on the tablet
in her other hand is meaningless.

Good Job Norm!!!

Forgive me…this isn’t exactly funny, but I think it’s cool, and I know there
are a lot of ex-military types on the list who might appreciate it:
