I guess my concern is with the Fast and List queues. If you are using a private queue, you lose those distinctions (or do you?). It seems that could slow things down. Is overall performance still improved?
Since everything is new with this installation, I've got the chance to optimize, and I want to take full advantage of that. Then in your Mid Tier config tool in the AR Server section, specify the RPC that corresponds to the private queue. Mid Tier should then connect exclusively on the private threads. Just be sure to use a Max Threads setting for that queue that is high enough that it won?t bottleneck your Mid Tier traffic, yet low enough that it won?t cause too much overhead on your AR Server. This should apply to any version of AR Server and Mid Tier.
