Hello all! Trying to set up a VM instance for a test/sandbox environement. Running on Server 2003 Enterprise. Install Oracle 10g with no issues. Give it a static IP....a previous install when the IP changed Oracle did not like it. When I install the base ARS server 7.0.1, the install script auto start ARServer with no issues. However after reboot of the instance and when I manually try to startup ARServer. It chugs for a longtime and comes back with:
Could not start BMC Remedy ARS service on local computer. Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion. All the services for Oracle are running from startup, but when I check from the DB Console, it says it's down. Tried this on several instances in VMware with the same results, at install everything works including ARS, but after reboot, Oracle is not happy. Any advice would be appreciated!
