You have full CMDB that will allow you to enter CIs. You do not have the forms
and workflow to easily work with the Assets.

Subject: Asset "light" capability in Incident Management 7.x?

**

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to create Computer System CIs without
having the full Asset Management product??

?

We are about to implement a desktop management solution and would like it to
create Computer System CIs inside Remedy but we do not have the full Asset
Management application and I'm beginning to think we will not be able to do
this.? The Incident Management 7.0 User's Guide (pages 163-164) indicates that
you can use "limited ability" to manage CIs if you do not have Asset Management
then it says you need "Asset Admin" rights to create CIs and continues to show
examples on creating a Computer System CI which you can't do unless you've
purchased Asset Management.

?

Am I missing something or can you actually create Computer System CIs without
purchasing Asset Management?

?

Thank you!
