To answer my own question, yes there's a bug. My fix was to update this filter: HPD:INC:NTAsgGrp_805_SetTag
In the Set Field action, add this: z1D NT Pager Message Numeric = $Incident Number$ As far as I can tell, any group assignment page going to a numeric pager would fail: either not go out or go out with no message...depending on your command line and you paging software. Related issue: -------------------- I have another issue. 'Pager Email' field on CTM:People is not used. I created a Pager Provider Configuration record for "Email". The weird thing is though this record clearly says "email" is the method, I need to specify a Run Process command line, and sure enough it will execute that command line, instead of initiating an email! It won't use Email Engine to send email out. I thought of tricking the system by specifying one of the internal Run Process commands to trigger something (like a submit to a form), and on that form have workflow to trigger email thru email engine (or just send the record to Email Messages form). I was feeling all smart and happy until I went thru the list of Run Process commands. There's none I can use to trigger a workflow and pass some values (recipient address, message etc). So the best I have come up with is to have a "runmacro" command line in the Pager Provider Configuration record and have it submit a record to "Email Messages" form directly. Not the best way to do it, because I don't like starting external processess too often, but if I am not changing code, I don't see any other option. As long as the volume is low, there shouldn't be an issue. It should work in the short term, until I get the energy to mess with the code. ----- Original Message ---- From: Rabi Tripathi <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, October 11, 2007 5:14:52 PM Subject: ITSM 7: Numeric pages don't go out? For On-Call pages Hi guys, I have seen pages not go out properly for people with numeric pagers. It appears that the "Pager Message Numeric", "z1D Pager Message Numeric" set of fields in various forms involved in paging are not always filled in, so the final Run Process has a command line that's missing the numeric message. In some instances, I have seen the numeric message constructed properly, so I am not sure what the variable is. My best guess is, for "on-call" pages, when the recipient has numeric pager, the numeric message is not properly constructed. Anybody seen this issue? Thanks. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better Heartthrob. Get better relationship answers from someone who knows. Yahoo!
