Steve,

Have you tried adding ar.domain2.com to the Mid-Tier server list? You can do
that from the Mid-Tier config page. Once you do that the mid-tier users will
be able to connect to the Mid-Tier server using that load balancer name.

Subject: Requester Incident Receipt Confirmation

Hello list,

We are having a (environmental) problem with the URL thats embedded in the
"Requester Incident Receipt Confirmation" notification in ITSM 7 and hope
someone here may be able to help us.

We have two AR servers (ar1 and ar2) that are part of a "local" management
domain (domain1.com, dont ask why...), and sit behind a load balancer (users
connected to ar.domain2.com). The problem is that the receipt confirmation
email messages being generated from the notification go out in the format:

http://midtier.domain2.com/arsys/servlet/ViewFormServlet?form=NTE%3aNotifier
&server=ar1.domain1.com&eid=NTS000000000000

Unfortunately the local management domain is not resolvable outside the
local management domain (like I said, dont ask...), so when clicking the URL
users get the:

The following error(s) occurred while trying to process your request:
ARERR [9280]
Server not present in the configured servers list - ar1.domain.com

What we really need to do is change the server=<server> part of the
notification and hard code it to be ar.domain2.com. Unfortunately, thus far
we have been unable to find where it embeds the URL into the notification,
so have been unable to change it.

Any help appreciated.
