You can call web service on click of a button indirectly by using filter
again.

 

First make an active link on button click and write an action to send
some flag update in required form. Now on that form run a filter by
checking that flag value which can call required web service.

I was thinking along the same lines but wanted to see if there is a
straight forward way. This is one of the drawbacks of Remedy i guess
that it wouldnt let you call a webservice on click of a button.
