Elinore, I don't think there are any fields required to move it into RFC. The process flow is configured on the SYS:Approval Configuration (or something like that). Search for the process that is linked to the "Request for Authorization" status and the process flow tab will show which action it will take after an approval; if there is no approver; if its rejected; etc. Cheers! Or if this is not the case, are there specific fields that need to be filled (required fields) in order for the status to move to RFC? We are using the out-of-the-box Approval Process when testing this and we keep getting different results.
