Thanks for the effort, Jason, though it has largely become a training exercise at this point. I decided to stick with what I know better and wrote some workflow to push the attachment to the AR System Email Attachments form, the text fields to the AR System Email Messages form, relate the two through the AR System Email Associations form and then change the "Send Email" field in AR System Email Messages to Yes. Works like a champ.
But I'd love to know how to get the templates working just in case I have to do it that way in the future...and it may be a whole lot simpler than my new approach. J.T. My attachment field and pool have Public permission and so to the other text fields in my template. I have added the fields as included fields in the filter. I have double checked that there isn't a line break between my #$$ $$## in the template (have been bitten by that one with WYSIWYG editors before). I have even added my fields the Text field which I don't think I need to do. I can't think of what else I may be missing. I think I am going to have to try my template on a regular form just to make sure that is all setup correctly. I'll let you know what I find out.
