I have a question about external CMDBs. Does anybody have experience using ARS 7.x with an external CMDB? Is it possible to fully utilize version 7 without using BMC's CMDB and discovery products? For those who have already upgraded to 7 can you tell me the advantages of upgrading if you are not using the CMDB?
Also, any information anyone has comparing ARS 7.x with IBM Tivoli Request Manager would be appreciated.
