A broad knowledge of Remedy development tools and languages is required, including strong Java skills. This person will work in a team environment, they should be a self-starter with the ability to manage small to medium projects independently and be able to work closely with customers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with demonstrated leadership skills and a focus on customer satisfaction and customer relationship building. -Responsible for product installs, upgrades, patches, configurations using strict change control procedures -Develop test scripts, configuration management techniques and documentation -Design, implement, debug and execute solutions that meets specifications Position Description Responsible for the analysis, acquisition, installation, modification and support of operating systems, databases, and utilities. Conducts systems programming and systems support activities such as new or revised program language codes, processing routines, report generators, etc. Monitors effective language codes, processing routines, hardware utilization and utilization of database management techniques. Modifies, maintains and updates software such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, OEM utilities, JCL, macros and subroutines. Develops and reviews operator and control instructions. Prepares and conducts system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software. Conducts programming tasks including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation. As directed, prepares feasibility studies and designs tests to determine operating characteristics of software. Minimum Requirements 6+ years experience in systems programming Additional Knowledge & Skills -6+ years of Remedy development, preferably in a Windows environment -Experience with ITSM 7 (Full suite), CMDB 2 and EIE -3+ years of experience with J2EE technologies (i.e. Java, Web Services) -Experience with relational databases, including sound knowledge of SQL Server 2000+ -Self-starter, ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as lead project teams -Ability to work directly with customers to gather requirements, design solutions and offer alternatives -Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills -Strong customer service orientation -Ability to prioritize/communicate conflicting demands -Experience integrating Remedy w/ external systems -Knowledge of the software development lifecycle -Outstanding documentation skills (technical, process, etc.) -Effective analytical and problem solving skills -Strong design, analysis and debugging skills -Experience with ARSPERL Education 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience Physical Requirements General Office Demands Blair Slusne Recruiter Internal Data Resources, Inc.
