Rudolf,

Usually fields like z1D_Char02 are global fields. Look at the Field ID.
Ranges of 1,000,000 - 1,999,999 ( commas added for clarity) are regular
global fields. Window scoped global fields go from 3,000,000 to
3,999,999.

And of course all that can change if BMC so chooses.

zTmp... fields are display only, hence the Tmp designation.
Other designations like two or three capitalized characters indicate the
associated form or application (INC - Incident, PRM - Problem Management
. . .)

Subject: Field names

**

Hello,

I'm working with IM 7.0.02 Patch 4.
Frequently I'm facing fields named something like
"zCol_StdGoalSchedCost", "zTmpSchemaProperName" or even "z1D_Char02".

Somebody knows if there is a pattern BMC uses on naming these objects?
What does z1D, z2PH, z3D... means?

Thank you

Rudolf
