You need to work something out with the owners of the server. Some type of session needs to be allowed to give access to the things critical to maintaining the server - filesystem, processes, etc.
There are many options available, but it really depends on the infrastructure. If it's a security policy issue, understand what they are attempting to stop, then find a way to get what you need while meeting the goals of the policy.
