@Eric; EventID 1000 is a generic issue, you could have a intermittently defective Outlook Plugin, but you know Microsoft, reboot :( hey fixed! :(:( Outlook crash (or other app) can leave DLL's loaded and then corrupted in memory, etc..
@Joe; I do not have 2 accounts, but I changed from my corporate account to gmail, and have always thought "hey i'm missing posts - volumn seems quite low", but have __Yet__ to prove it. Checked gmail span (not there), could be how gmail puts the "Label" on them, and then groups the messages up. @Daniel; Is it possible that on the weekend when you perform your periodic adm-time-test, to put in a total # of messages for past week? then I can keep track of just raw numbers, before entering debug_mode_on so to say.
