No this is not possible because the ARS looks for the thick client specific
libraries and uses those to establish a connection..

Subject: DB Connectivity with JDBC driver

  **
  Hi Listers,

Is it possible to connect DB using Oracle thin client (JDBC driver)
instead of Oracle thick client (ODBC driver).

If possible please let me know the place we can find the details.

We are using ARS -7 and Oracle 10 g as DB

  Regards,

  Siraj P M
