I would not recommend using field 112.

Field 112 is all over the ITSM applications and is used for mult-tenancy in
various different ways. It's much more closely tied to the base product now
than it was prior to ITSM 7 when it was generally not used in the OOB apps.

Fortunately there is a way around this using dynamic groups. We have performed
this customization for a customer previously. Sometimes the customer had
tickets that were security issues and once marked that way only the security
group could see those Incident record (this is akin to what you are asking for
I believe).

Look up the workflow related to dynamic groups and record access in the
workflow guide. If you have more questions email me directly. I believe we
have this process documented.

** If you are using Ver 7 the facility is already there with field 112.
Customization is needed to provide the specifics you need.

Subject: Limit a single record from being searched

**

Hey everyone- I got an odd request today: to create a record (a CI) which can
only be seen by certain people/group- meaning that even is someone has access
to the form normally and they try and search for this specific record, unless
they are in a certain group they can't see it.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Chris
