My last problem on AIE 7.1 patch 1 running on Solaris, where no default instance created is a bug. I did a workaround by importing instance data manually.
On AIE 7.1 patch 2 the problem is already resolved. It fixes AIE stability problem too, where previously it crashes quite often during data exchange. SW00284454 No default instance is created when you install BMC Atrium Integration Engine 7.1.0 patch 001 on a machine with AR System 7.0.1 patch 0033 and BMC Atrium CMDB 2.0.1 patch 003.
